Delete your account and data

This page explains how to delete your Session Review account and the data held with it. It applies to both of our apps — Session Review Educator and Session Review Learner — on iPhone, iPad and Android. Session Review is operated by Session Review, New South Wales, Australia.

Option 1 — Delete your account in the app (immediate)

1. Open Session Review Educator or Session Review Learner — on iPhone, iPad or Android — and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Go to Settings → Delete account. The steps are the same on every device.
3. Confirm. You may be asked to sign in again to prove it's you.

Your account and its data are deleted straight away. If you use both apps with separate accounts, delete each one.

Option 2 — Ask us to delete it

If you no longer have the app or can't sign in, email admin@sessionreview.com.au from the email address on the account (or tell us how you signed in) with the subject "Delete my account", and say which app the account is for. We may ask you to confirm you own the account. We'll delete it and confirm by email within 30 days — usually within 2 business days.

You can also ask us to delete only some of your data (for example, a profile photo or a particular student's records) without deleting your account. Email us at the same address.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in account and profile — name, email address, display name and profile photo.
• Educator accounts: your students, classes, sessions, notes, templates and sharing codes. Students who held your codes lose access to them.
• Learner accounts: your connections to teachers, your private notes, and your place in any class.
• Notifications, Pro subscription status, and anything in Trash.

What is kept

• Sessions and notes a teacher wrote for you belong to that teacher's account; deleting a Learner account removes your access to them, but not the teacher's own records.
• Purchase and billing records are held by Apple or Google, not by us. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first.
• We may keep limited information where the law requires it, for example correspondence about a legal or billing matter.
• Usage analytics collected by the iPhone and iPad apps are not linked to your account and are deleted automatically by Google Analytics after its retention period.
